Laser Etcher
We’ve been flirting with the idea of doing some decorating in-house, and we finally pulled the trigger.
What I’ve learned so far…
Sooo…we got a new laser etcher (and we fire this bad boy up at least once a day). I’ve learned three things:
Practice. Practice. Practice.
- Laser etchers are awesome. Ours is top-of-the-line and unbelievably fast.
- Our team is incredible with design and the finished products look retail-quality amazing.
- In the swag business, speed and control are unsung heroes.
For now, I’m using our laser-etcher mostly to build a system for client gifts (shhh, that means you guys). But, if you have a quick idea to let me practice, hit me with it.
We’re only using our laser etcher for our own personal outreach atm (so we have the freedom to experiment, iterate, and build some systems). But I’m more bought-in than ever: gifting is powerful.
Speed and control. Insane advantage.
I’ve had potential clients call me on a Tuesday. I was at their their office within 24 hours – custom gifts in hand. Their logo. Their branding.
It’s a major pattern interrupt. It’s big-time surprise and delight. I love it.
Even though we’re not to the point yet of using this for your swag projects, this new tech has reiterated to me the importance of speed and control. The entire boompromo team holds our own work to a standard of excellence.
It’s pretty cool to have the power to make it happen.
